Odisha: Fire breaks out at SCB Hospital

Cuttack: A major mishap was averted after a fire broke out Pathology Department of SCB Medical College and Hospital here today.

Though no casualty was reported, two rooms of the Pathology Department reduced to ashes in the mishap. Besides, huge amount of property worth crores of rupees were gutted in the fire. Though the exact cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, short circuit is suspected to have led to the mishap.

On receiving information, a firefighting team rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

However, no hospital authorities were available to comment on the matter till last reports came in.
