Odisha: Four doctors of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar test COVID-19 positive

Bhubaneswar: Four doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar today tested positive for deadly COVID-19.

Official sources said three Senior Resident doctors and one Junior Resident Doctor of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar were infected from the virus.

The three Senior Resident doctors, who tested COVID-19 positive, are from Surgery, Pharmacology and Pathology departments of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar while the Junior Resident doctor is from Dermatology department, the sources added.

The sources further said the three Senior Resident Doctors were staying together. The four doctors who tested positive were engaged earlier in treatment of corona patients.

As per the latest reports, four doctors have been admitted to the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar for treatment. All of them are asymptomatic

An official of AIIMS , Bhubaneswar said the institute has sent 10 of its doctors to quarantine. The 10 doctors came in contact with the four doctors who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the day.
