Odisha: Four including minor boy die due to lightning strike

Nuapada: In a saddening incident, four persons including a minor boy lost their lives due to lightning strike in Nuapada district today afternoon.

The mishap occurred when Trinath Nag aged 60, Chudamani Nag aged 23, Laxman Nag aged 28 and Gunasagar were installing asbestos roof at a house in Mallickamunda village of Nuapada district. The four persons died on the spot due to the lighting strike.

Another woman, Mithila Nag aged 56 who was also engaged in installing the asbestos roof at Trinath’s house, sustained severe burn injuries.

Villagers rushed the injured woman to the Komana Community Health Centre.

A pall of gloom descended on the village as soon as the death of the four persons broke out.
