Odisha gangster Tito’s associate injured in police encounter

Kendrapara: Arrested gangster Tito’s associate and notorious criminal Bahu Sahu was injured in an encounter with police on Chagharia-Ichapur road in Odisha’s Kendrapara town late last night.

Acting on a tip-off about the movement of Babu towards Ichapur from Chagharia, a joint team of Kendrapara police and STF tried to intercept him.

However, he opened fire at the cops, following which the policemen retaliated, during which he sustained bullet injuries on his right leg.

Babu has been admitted to Kendrapara district headquarters hospital for treatment. Police have seized a pistol from his possession.

As many as 14 criminal cases, including 3 murder cases, are pending against Babu, sources said.
