Odisha gangster’s carbine’s manufacture traced to Kolkata

Preliminary investigations by the Odisha police have indicated that the carbine that was seized from the residence of gangster Dhalasamanta brothers (D-brothers) had come from Kolkata, informed Twin City Police Commissioner Y B Khurania here today.

A team has left for Kolkata to find out to whom the seized carbine was issued by the Ordnance factory of the Indian Army there, he added.

“A team has left for Kolkata for further investigation to find to which organization this carbine was issued to. Our investigations till date have revealed that the carbine was manufactured at Indian Ordnance factory at Kolkata. For the purpose a police team from here has left for Kolkata,” said Khurania.
