Odisha girl Anwesha Mishra has won the gold medal in U-14 category of Asian Youth Chess Championship – 2016 being held at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.

Anwesha today beat top seed of the tournament Vantika Agarwal to emerge the gold medallist, said her father Prakash Mishra.

She emerged clear champion with one and half point winning lead even before the last round is held tomorrow.

The prestigious tournament is being organised by The Mongolian Chess Federation (MCF) under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF). Participants from national chess federations across Asia are participating in the tournament that is being held at Ulaanbaatar between April 5 and 14.
