Odisha govt assures ICAI Bhubaneswar of all support

Odisha’s Finance Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat today inaugurated an air-conditioned e-library at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), Bhubaneswar Chapter here on Saturday while promising all possible help from the state government for the Institute’s growth.

Addressing as gathering, Amat praised the institution for providing the e-library with a good infrastructure for the students in Bhubaneswar. He assured the ICAI authorities that the state government would extend necessary help for the growth and development of the institution.

ICAI president CMA Dr AS Durga Prasad highlighted the role of Cost and Management Accountant for the development of the economy both at the state and national level.

ICAI’s Eastern Indian Regional Council chairman CMA SK Sahoo advised the students to utilise all the facilities provided by the Bhubaneswar Chapter.

Sahoo also informed the media persons that the institution, which is doing well in the country, has requested the State Government to provide 10,000 sq ft of land in the city for the setting up of a centre of excellence and the proposal is under process.

Among others, ICAI’s EIRC vice chairman CMA SP Padhi, Bhubaneswar Chapter chairman CMA Manas Ranjan Lenka, ICAI secretary CMA Damodar Mishra, staff and more than 200 students of the institute attended the function.
