Odisha govt’s excise revenue collection Rs 1,035 cr till August

The Odisha government has collected Rs 1,035.41 crore excise revenue by August this year. The revenue collected during the corresponding period in 2013 was Rs 861.57 crore.

The state government has set a target to collect Rs 2150 crore in the financial year 2014-15.

While it had collected a total of Rs 1035.41 crore by August this year, the revenue collection without entry tax and sales tax stood at Rs 773.39 crore, which is 35.97% of the target for this financial year, said an official in the Excise department.l.

The government had collected Rs 589.39 crore as excise revenue in the first quarter of 2014-15 financial year.
