Odisha govt extends deadline for submission of bills in Treasuries

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today asked its departments to submit all bills in the government Treasuries by March 29, 2020.

In a letter to Secretaries and Heads of Department, Finance Secretary Ashok K. Meena stated some Departments/Heads of the Departments may not be able to submit the bills in the Treasuries by 13.3.2020 and 20.3.2020 for some reasons and others. Besides, some Departments/Heads of the Departments may find it difficult to adhere to the deadlines of 26.3.2020 for submission of the bills in Treasuries due to lockdown declared by the State government for COVID-19.

He added in view of this, the deadline for submission of bills in Treasuries has been extended.

The Departments and Heads of the Departments have been asked to adhere to the revised deadline scrupulously as no further extension will be allowed for the bills.

For drawal of 10% arrear salary arising out of revision of pay under ORSP Rules, 2017 during the financial year 2019-20 the deadline has been extended up to 26.3.2020 and last date for presentation of bills towards drawal of arrear claims in respect of DA @5% from 1.7.2019 to 31.12.2019 has been fixed as 26.3.2020, the letter stated.
