Odisha Govt gives compulsory retirement to corrupt Additional SP Trinath Mishra

Bhubaneswar: Taking stringent action showing zero tolerance towards corruption, Odisha Government today offered compulsory retirement to tainted Additional SP Trinath Mishra following vigilance raids.

A release from the Chief Minister’s Office today stated that the CM has been laying emphasis on maintaining high morality and honesty in public services. As part of the zero tolerance policy against corruption, Trinath Mishra, the Additional SP, Tulasipur, Cuttack, has been given compulsory retirement from his service.

The action came following the corrupt police officer was found in possession of assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

Based on allegations from different levels against Trinath Mishra, Vigilance sleuths had conducted multiple raids at 11 different locations in Cuttack, Khordha, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur and Nabarangpur districts last week. During searches, the Vigilance officials found movable and immovable properties worth around Rs 9 crore from his possession. Later, the official was arrested by the anti-corruption wing on DA charges.

With this, total 152 State Government officials have been given the compulsory retirement from their services so far.
