Dr Gouda is accused of faking a gazette notification and minting crores.
Sources said the Labour department has issued a notice for punitive action under rule 15 of the Clarification Control and Appeal-CCA 1962. The Labour Commissioner has been asked to conduct the inquiry. According to rule 15 of the CCA-1962, the maximum punishment that can be meted out to a guilty person is to dismiss him from his job.
Show cause notice in this regard has been readied by the department for serving to Dr Gouda. He has to reply within one month of its serving as to why he should not be dismissed from his job. Later a hearing on it will be conducted on the matter, the sources added.
On Dr Gouda’s reply not being satisfactory, he can be dismissed from his job. However, since Dr Gouda is currently in the custody of the Crime Branch the notice remains to be served to him.
Khurda District and Sessions Judge Court on Monday allowed the Crime Branch to take Dr Gouda on a further four-day remand against the prayer of seven-day remand application.
