The Odisha gvernment has recruited 42,974 persons in the last 15 years, Employment and Technical Education and Training minister Sanjay Dasburma informed the Assembly on Saturday.
Replying to a question by BJP MLA Dilip Ray, the minister said a total of 7,92,181 candidates had registered their name in the Employment Exchanges in the state by 2007 of which 1,45,466 candidates belonged to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
Out of 42,974 candidates recruited in the last 15 years, 32,239 were male and 10,735 female, he added.
The minister also informed that a total of 29,49,542 candidates have registered their name in the Employment Exchanges from 2000 till September, 2014.
