In a surprise development, senior IAS officer Arvind Padhee has been relieved of his duties as the chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), according to a notification published by the General Administration department of the Odisha government.

Padhee has been replaced by Bikash Chandra Mohapatra, who is currently serving as the RDC (Southern). He has been given additional charge as chief administrator SJTA, the notification said.

Padhee is presently commissioner-cum-secretary , Tourism and Culture and manageing director of Odisha Tourism and Development Corporation (OTDC).
