Odisha govt to showcase Nabakalebara ritual in digital space

The Odisha government which has been making all out efforts to hard sell Lord Jagannath’s Nabakalebara festival as a major tourism event both at the national and international level will showcase the ritual as an international event on digital space through interactive website, mobile app and social media.

Chief Secretary GC Pati on Wednesday reviewed the project initiated by the Information Technology department and asked IT officials to ensure accuracy of information, said a government official.

Pati advised the department to include information about places like Raghurajpur, Sakshigopal, Pipili and Konark near Puri on the website to attract tourists.

A committee comprising of various government officials has been formed to scrutinize contents to be put on the website, www.nabakalebara.gov.in
