Odisha HC asks BSE to re-examine OTET answer papers

The Odisha High Court on Wednesday directed the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to form a review committee to examine the answer papers of the Odisha Teachers’ Eligibility Test (OTET) afresh.

The single-judge bench of Justice BR Sarangi asked the BSE authorities to submit all OTET answer papers to the review committee within two weeks.

The directive of the court came in response to a petition filed by Pragnaparamita Bhoi, who had alleged that though the candidates had written the right answers as given in the book prepared by the Board, they have been marked wrong in evaluation.

“Though we have drawn the attention of the Board in this regard, it has not taken any steps,” she had told the court.

A similar petition had earlier been filed by Soumya Sharma, who had alleged that the Board had marked the answers mentioned in its book as wrong during evaluation.
