Odisha HC orders sealing of EVM strong room in Ghasipura

While irregularities in the counting of votes in the Ghasipura Assembly constituency in Keonjhar district during the polls this year is under adjudication in the Odisha High Court, the district administration on Saturday sealed the EVM strong room at Ghasipura following a court order.

It may be mentioned here that the court had issued a show cause notice in the matter to Ghasipura BJD MLA Badinarayan Patra and the members of the opposite parties including BJP candidate Satyabrata Panda, Independent candidate Rama Chandra Behera and AAP candidate Pramod Kumar Sahu.

The court will have a hearing in the case on August 14.
