Odisha HC cancels Ravenshaw Univ recruitment notification

Bhubaneswar, Dec 9:
Orissa High Court cancelled Ravenshaw University’s notification over recruitment for 141 lecturers posts, asks issue of fresh notification within 4 weeks.
The High Court has further directed the university to complete the appointment process within eight weeks of the fresh notification.
The Court has asked to submit a compliance report by March 14, 2016. The next hearing has been scheduled on March 16th next year.
The advertisement for Ravenshaw University recruitment notice for appointment of lecturers and professors was taken out in June 2014.
Alleging that the advertisement did not adhere to the UGC guidelines, some of the aggrieved had filed a petition against the notification.
Odisha High Court has also said that the above mentioned recruitment notification does not adhere to the UGC guidelines.
