Odisha High Court to remain closed from May 20 for summer vacation

Cuttack: The High Court of Orissa will remain closed from May 20 till June 15 for summer vacation.

The court proceedings will resume from June 17, as per the High Court calendar.

As the May 17 is the last working day before the summer vacation and June 16 falls on Sunday, the court will remain off for 30 days.

However, the holiday bench of the High Court will hear the cases at 11.00 am on May 22, 29, June 4 and 11 during one-month holiday.

As per the a notification released by the High Court Registrar, the matters will be heard by the holiday bench judges of Justice Akshaya Kumar Rath, Justice Biswanath Rath and Justice D Dash on May 22.

Similarly, Justice Rath, Justice Dash and Justice Satrughana Pujahari will hear the urgent cases on May 29, Justice Sanju Panda, Justice Pramath Patnaik, Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo on June 4 and the cases will be heard by Justice Panda, Justice Patnaik and Justice Mishra on June 11.

Meanwhile, the High Court office will remain closed on May 26, June 2, 5, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 during summer holidays. The office will remain opened from 11.00 am till 3.00 pm during working days and the new cases can be registered between 11.00 am and 12.00 pm.
