Odisha Hockey World Cup: Renovated Kalinga Stadium to be inaugurated on Oct 10

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup-2018, the renovated Kalinga Stadium here will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on October 10.

An exhibition match will be played between Dhanraj Pillay-XI and Dilip Tirkey-XI to mark the inauguration of the refurbished stadium. The match will be held at 7 pm on the day.

The team led by Dhanraj Pillay comprises Viren Rasquinha, Sardar Singh, Prabhjot Singh, PR Sreejesh, Chinglensana Singh Kangujam and Harmanpreet Singh.

Similarly, Jugraj Singh, Ignace Tirkey, Manpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh, Amit Rohidas and Rupinder Pal Singh are part of the team captained by Dilip Tirkey.

The Hockey Men’s World Cup is scheduled to be held at the stadium from November 28 to December 16.
