The Rights body today directed Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi to submit the ATR on the death of Suman Sharma, who died inside the car during the road blockade on NH-5 in front of the varsity, within four weeks.

Earlier in the day, the family members of the deceased knocked on the doors of OHRC at Satya Nagar here and sought its intervention seeking justice.

“Whether it’s police or students, we don’t have any idea who is responsible for the death. It’s almost eight days and we do not see any progress in the case. We approached OHRC today for justice. The guilty should be punished,” Mukesh Sharma, a cousin of the deceased said.

Commissionerate Police today received the post-mortem report, which states that Suman Sharma died due to brain haemorrhage.

“We have received the post-mortem report. The report says that the death had occurred due to brain haemorrhage. We are investigating into the case,” Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said.
