Odisha HSC exams in Feb; online application introduced

For the first time, Odisha government is going to introduce online filling up of the application form for the students appearing in matriculation examination.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha would conduct annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination for this academic year in February 2016 for which online filling up of the forms would commence from October, informed School and Mass Education minster Debi Prasad Mishra here today.

A high-level meeting presided over by School and Mass Education minster Debi Prasad Mishra, in the presence of BSE president Daksha Prasad Nanda and other senior officials of the education department decided to introduce online system of filling up application this year for the first time.

“The annual HSC examination would be conducted in the third week of February next year. The students appearing for the examination would fill up online application form in the first week of October. The students who are in 9th standard now and would be appearing annual board examination in 2017 would enrol themselves from the second week of this September,” School and Mass Education minster Debi Prasad Mishra said.

“The students who would appear in the annual board examination have already been enrolled online. Only filling up of the forms is left. We would complete the online application process by October first week. After completion of the process, we would prepare a database and send a list similar to a pre-list, which was being sent earlier to eliminate errors in filling up of the forms, if any,” BSE president Daksha Prasad Nanda informed.
