Odisha IAS Officer Gagan Dhal takes voluntary retirement

Bhubaneswar: The state Government today approved VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) application of senior IAS officer Gagan Dhal.

The 1985-batch IAS Officer, who was serving as the Chairman of Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC), had applied for the VRS on personal ground, said a Press release issued by the General Administration and Public Grievances Department.

On being satisfied about the reasons for the VRS, the state Government relaxed the mandatory notice period of three months for Dhal’s voluntary retirement from service

“Dhal is allowed to retire voluntarily from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with effective from November 30. He will be entitled to all retirement benefits as per rules under AIS (DCRB) Rules,1958,” the notice read.
