Odisha lady teacher murder: CBI grills eight persons

The CBI which is investigating into the murder of Itishree Pradhan, a lady teacher of Tikiri Upper Primary School in Rayagada district, in November 2013, interrogated eight persons on Tuesday.

itishree pradhanSources said the CBI team, after arriving at Tikiri in the morning, went to Tikiri Upper Primary School and called up the headmaster Jogeswar Turuk and peon Sashi Bhusan Nayak and collected information from them regarding the environment of the school from the time the lady teacher was misbehaved till the murder attempt on her.

The team went through the teachers’ attandance sheet to ascertain the number of days Itishree had worked in the school. It also collected information about the number of days she was in charge of mid-day meal.

The CBI team later took the duo to a guesthouse where it interrogated them separately for one hour each. During interrogation, the CBI officials collected the address of the former president of the Tikiri School Managing Committee and another member of the committee.

Before leaving for Rayagada in the evening, the central investigating agency also interrogated five students of Tikiri Upper Primary School and a local trader of Tikiri.
