Odisha lady teacher murder: CBI prepares list for interrogation

The CBI, which is probing into the murder of Itishree Pradhan, a lady teacher of Tikiri Upper Primary School in November, 2013, has decided to broaden its investigation as it has not found any clue on the whereabouts of the prime accused during its investigation which began on February 25.

cbi team at tikiriReliable sources said three teams of the CBI have begun investigation into the various angles of the case and prepared a list of the people for interrogation in phases.

The first team on Sunday went to Tikiri police station and had a marathon interrogation of the nodal officer of mid-day meal, Pabitra Mohan Nayak; teachers of Tikiri Upper Primary School, Sunakar Rout, Jitendra Nayak and Harihar Mishra who had met former headmaster of the school Netrananda Dandasena in jail.

On the basis of the interrogation of Chandrasekhar Panda, former headmaster of the school under whose tenure the incident had taken place, the second team went to the school and interrogated each staff.

The third team went to the house of Netrananda and interrogated his eldest daughter and asked several questions including the reason of her bitterness with Itishree.

The CBI has kept a close watch on the movement of those who had met Netrananda in jail. The Central investigating wing is tracking their frequent visits to the area and contact with others, the sources added.
