Odisha logs 1078 new COVID-19 cases with 1.56% TPR; 65 more succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: As many as 1078 more COVID-19 cases were detected in Odisha during the last 24 hours while a total of 68724 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.56%.

Khurda district reported highest 372 fresh cases, followed by Cuttack (147), Jagatsinghpur (58) and Jajpur (58).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 990075 with 10682 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 65 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the toll mounted to 6630. Khurda district recorded highest 20 fatalities.
