Odisha logs 1948 new COVID-19 cases; 67 more succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: As many as 1948 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in Odisha while a total of 79372 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 2.45%.

Khurda district registered highest 480 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (279) and Jajpur (115).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha reached 961934 with 19623 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 67 more deaths in the state due to COVID-19 while the toll rose to 5308. Khurda district recorded highest 20 fatalities.
