Odisha logs 3031 new COVID cases with 4.9% TPR; 43 succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: As many as 3031 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha during the last 24 hours while a total of 61000 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Ratio (TPR) for the day stood at 4.9%.

Khurda reported highest 381 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (295) and Balasore (290).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 840214 with 36633 active cases.

The state also registered 43 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours as the toll mounted to 3633.

Regret to inform the demise of forty three numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals.

1.A 40 years old Male of Baragarh District.

2.A 65 years old Male of Baragarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.
