Odisha man detained for branding adopted daughter with hot spatula
Berhampur: Police today detained a person for allegedly branding his adopted 4-year-old daughter with a hot spatula here in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
The accused was identified as Rajendra Gouda.

The incident was reported from Sriram Nagar area under Bada Bazaar police limits in Berhampur.
The minor girl is the real daughter of Dasarathi Majhi, a resident of Sriram Nagar in Berhampur. He had handed over his daughter to Rajendra as he was unable to bear expenses to raise a child.
According to reports, Rajendra branded his adopted daughter with hot spatula due to some reasons.
The locals rescued the daughter and handed over Rajendra to the Bada Bazaar police.
