Odisha man held in Kerala for posting obscene pics from girl’s fake FB profile

Berhampur: A man from Odisha was today arrested in Kerala for allegedly creating a fake Facebook profile of a minor girl and uploading obscene photos and videos from the account.

The arrested has been identified as Kartikeswar Behera of Jatni in Khordha district.

According to reports, Behera had befriended the girl on Facebook and started texting her on the social media site. Days later, the girl, suspecting evil intentions of the youth, stopped replying to his messages.

Behera then created a Facebook account in the name of the girl and uploaded objectionable photos and videos from the profile.

As the matter came to fore, the parents of the girl lodged a complaint with cyber police station in Berhampur. The local police, being assisted by the Kerala police, today arrested Behera from Perubhattam.

The accused was produced before a court in Kerala and will be brought to Berhampur on August 13, police sources said.
