Odisha man kills wife suspecting fidelity

Sambalpur: In a shocking incident, a man bludgeoned his wife to death with an iron rod suspecting her fidelity in Kumbharpada under Dhanupali police limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district today.

The deceased has been identified as Puja Pandey and the accused as Feroze Pandey.

According to reports, Feroze of Kerua area had married Puja of Kumbharpada area two years back.

After marriage, the couple used to reside in Kumbharpada area.

Both Feroze and Puja, who were vocal artists used to perform in orchestras.

For quite some time, Feroze had been suspecting Puja’s fidelity.

The couple used to often end up in fights over the issue.

In a fit of rage, on Tuesday, Feroze hit Puja with an iron rod on her head leading to her death instantaneously.

Later, Feroze surrendered before the police at the Town police station.
