Odisha man murders wife after she kills daughter, injures son

Malkangiri: In a shocking incident, a person reportedly murdered his wife after she allegedly killed their five-year-old daughter and injured two-year-old son with a billhook at Biriguda village under Biralaxmanpur panchayat in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

According to reports, Bati Khara, being in an inebriated state, hacked her daughter Anjali and son Arjun with a billhook while her husband Laxman Khara was not present at home.

While Anjali died on the spot, Arjun sustained critical injuries and has been hospitalised.

After Laxman came home and enquired about the matter, his wife confessed about committing the act following which a heated exchange of words ensued between the two.

Losing his cool, Laxman hit Bati’s head with a cudgel killing her on the spot. On being informed, police reached the spot, arrested him and started investigation.
