Odisha man working in Chennai returns lost iPhone worth over Rs 1 lakh to owner [Watch]

Bhubaneswar: In an exemplary act of humanity, a man from Odisha working in Chennai recently returned a lost iPhone worth over Rs 1 lakh to its owner and earned praise from various quarters.

Suryakant Biswal of Madhupur village under Chandabali block in Bhadrak district found the device while he was returning from the workplace in Chennai.

He soon enquired about the possessor of the iPhone in the locality but in vain as no one was able to give satisfactory answer in this regard.

Biswal decided to keep the mobile phone with himself. Later, the owner of the device telephoned on the number and urged Biswal to return it to him saying that it’s worth over Rs 1 lakh.

Biswal then told the person to produce proof regarding ownership of the iPhone and receive it from him.

As Biswal handed over the device to its owner, the latter gave him Rs 2000 as a token of gratitude, to which he refused to accept. “The joy of giving is greater than the joy of taking,” Biswal said to the person.
