New Delhi, July 7:

Odisha Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda today urged the Union  minister for Tourism and culture Shripad Naik to allocate adequate central assistance to the state for proper management of Nabakalebar of the Holy Trinity in Puri, which expects to draw around 15 lakh devotees for this rare event.

The Odisha minister apprised him of the steps and special measures being taken by the state government for the  Nabakalebar scheduled to be held in July 2015 and presented him three books on Chilika lagoon, Rath Yatra and Tourism in Odisha.

Panda, who just returned from Ohio in the US where he addressed the members of the Odisha Society of the Americas (OSA),  also discussed about the development of tourism sector in the state with the Union minister and requested  him to take necessary steps.
