Odisha MLA donates prize money to flood-hit Kerala

Bhubaneswar: BJD’s Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain today donated a prize money of Rs one lakh to the victims of flood in Kerala.

The noble act of the legislator came after he was conferred with the Pandit Nilakantha Samman (Best Legislator Award). Swain received the award from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and later donated his prize money of Rs one lakh to Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

The MLA also dedicated the award to the people of Odisha. Swain’s move has been praised by many.
