Odisha MLAs meet CM, demand salary hike

Bhubaneswar: MLAs of all parties today met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the State Assembly demanding a hike in their salary and an increase in the amount for MLA Local Area Development (LAD) fund.

“All MLAs today met the Chief Minister and demanded salary hike of the legislators,” said Congress Chief Whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati.

“We requested the CM to increase the MLA LAD fund from Rs one crore to a minimum of Rs 3 crores in order to address more problems,” said BJD MLA Sameer Das.
