Odisha MP to be part of Indian delegation for Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference

Bhubaneswar: Aparajita Sarangi, Bhubaneswar MP, has been nominated as a member of the Indian Parliamentary Delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference scheduled to be held at Kampala, Uganda in September.

“I am glad to share that I have been nominated as a member of Indian Parliamentary Delegation. I am grateful to my leaders for reposing trust in me. I seek good wishes and prayers of all,” Sarangi tweeted.

The delegation will be led by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) organises the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) each year. Global political issues and developments in the parliamentary system are analyzed in conference debates among leading parliamentarians representing parliaments and legislatures throughout the Commonwealth.

This year’s CPC will be held from September 22 to 29. The theme for the conference is ‘Adaption, engagement, and evolution of parliaments in a rapidly changing Commonwealth’. The event will bring together over 500 Parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and decision makers.
