Odisha Nabakalebara: Banajaga team arrives at Balighai

The Banajaga Yatra team, consisting of daitapatis (servitors) of Shri Jagannath temple, arrived at Balighai in the wee hours today after setting out on their journey from the Jagannath Ballav Math in Odisha’s pilgrim town of Puri after midnight on Monday.

The team left the Jagannath Ballav mutt at 12.45 AM and reached Balighai at about 3.45 AM after covering about 15 km on foot along the Puri-Konark road.

The team, after taking rest inside a garden at Balighai during the day, will leave for Ramchandi temple near Konark at 5 PM.

The team will stay at Konark Rangamanch tonight and begin its journey towards Deuli mutt at Kakatpur via Shankareswar temple and reach there on April 2.
