Odisha Nabakalebara postal ticket to be released on July 17

A special postage ticket on the Odisha Nabakalebara will be released on July 17, a day ahead of the Rath Yatra, announced Minister for Tourism and Culture Ashok Panda here today. He was speaking at the launch ceremony of the Nabakalebara booklet.

“The department has spent Rs 25 crores to develop infrastructure and on promotion of Odia culture. We have set up information centres for the benefit of tourists. We have also taken steps to popularize the Nabakalebara though various mediums available such as advertisement in print and electronic media, street side plays, road shows, websites, magazines etc,” Minister Panda.

“More than four crore people have tried to find out information about Nabakalebara from the website,” said Secretary of the Department Arvind Padhee while speaking at the same function today.

The Tourism Department of Odisha Government has taken various developmental and promotional activities on the eve of Nabakalebara and has completed all of them on time,he said.
