Odisha: Nabarangpur Sub-Collector’s office boundary wall collapses; one injured

Bhubaneswar: A person sustained injures after a portion of the boundary wall of the Sub-Collector’s office in Nabarangpur district of Odisha collapsed today.

Three motorcycles parked near the boundary wall also got damaged in the incident.

The incident took place when the person was standing near the Sub-Collector’s office in the afternoon. Locals rescued the man and rushed him to the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) with multiple injuries on his head and other parts of the body, sources said.

“Nabarangpur has witnessed heavy rain in the last couple of days. The boundary wall of the Sub-Collector’s office might have been weakened due to the rain,” said a source.

The locals, meanwhile, blamed substandard construction work at the Sub-Collector’s office for the incident.
