Odisha: Naveen-Modi trade corruption charges

Bhubaneswar: Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi leveled corruption charges against Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government, the latter reacted to the accusations saying the former must have said to stimulate the party cadres.

The BJD supremo said: “PM must have said it to enthuse his pol workers. In fact, they should be thinking of their Skill Mission and Ujjwala scams. They should be considering that and also thinking very seriously about record rocketing prices of petrol & diesel.”

Prime Minister criticised the Naveen government at a public meeting in Jharsuguda after inaugurating the airport, the second in Odisha.

“I have been told that it is no more possible for the poor people to avail get their job done without bribing officials. People here call it as percent or PC. For this PC, people are lagging behind to get the benefits of developmental schemes,” Modi said.

In the recent times, several scams are being talked about in Odisha. Corruption allegations are being leveled at people in government or party. In this circumstance, how can development be possible? So, time has come for a big change, Modi added.
