Odisha: Newlyweds cancel wedding reception, sensitise locals on COVID-19

Jajpur: Making a difference, a newlywed couple cancelled their wedding reception party and distributed masks and sanitizers among the locals in Tina area under Binjharpur block in Jajpur district creating awareness on COVID-19.

The couple-Sangram Keshari Sahu and Truptimayee Das-also sensitised people in the locality about the deadly COVID-19 and its safety norms stipulated by the state Government.

Sangram said he decided not to hold the reception party keeping in view the possibility of the virus transmission due to the event.

The two also distributed masks and sanitisers to patienst and their attendants visiting the Binjharpur Community Health Centre (CHC). The newlyweds are being praised by the locals for their noble initiative.
