Odisha panchayat polls: Naveen to start campaigning in home turf

Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik is all set to start campaigning for the party in his own constituency Hinjilicut from February 11 ahead of the panchayat polls in the state.

According to information, the conch party chief is scheduled to campaign for BJD candidates at Tanhara, Pitala, Narendrapur, Patharapunji, Dhanantara, Dhabalapur, Takarada, Mahupadar, Kulagada, Khirida, Bandhaguda, Baramunduli, Kumarapani and Karadakana in Seragada block.

Panchayat polls will be held in these areas on February 13.

Sources said, Patnaik might be part of road shows in panchayats instead of holding meetings for campaigning.

Notably, internal dispute is prevailing among the candidates of the BJD in the area.
