Odisha: Physics teacher found dead in rented house

Berhampur: Mystery shrouded the death of a teacher, who was found hanging from the ceiling of a rented house at Manikanagar under Hinjilicut police limits in Ganjam district today.

The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Kumar Bhuyan of Bhadrak district. He was a Physics teacher of Kankarada Science College in Ganjam district.

As per reports, Bhuyan was staying in a rented house at Maniknagar for the last 20 days. However, the door of the house had been shut for the last 15 days. This morning, when the house owner complained of stench from the house, police reached the spot and broke open the door of the house. The cops seized the body and sent it to hospital for post-mortem.

Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, police have begun an investigation into the incident.
