Odisha Plus II Science results by May 2nd week

Results of Plus II (Science) examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha will be declared within the second week of May,  informed Basudeb Chhatoi, chairman CHSE here today.

“ First phase evaluation of Plus II answer scripts is almost complete. In the second phase evaluation, we are focussing on three subjects of Science stream, particularly Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. We have taken a decision to first publish the results of Science stream because it’s essential for them to meet the June 10 deadline of CBSE for admissions to engineering and medicine courses.  So we have accordingly set our target to publish the result of Science stream within May second week,” stated Chhatoi speaking to reporters here.

Earlier, CHSE had set a deadline to complete evaluation of answer scripts by April 27, maybe it can get extended by a day or two, said Chhatoi.

He said the evaluation of answer scripts was underway in the normal manner, adding that there were no glitches in the online evaluation.

The CHSE chairman said till date 24.18 lakh answer scripts have been evaluated.

Notably, evaluation of answer scripts of Plus II examinations was affected due to the boycott of evaluation by 662 and 488 category block grant teachers who were demanding abolition of the block grant system and implementation of full grant-in-aid.

Due to the tug of war like situation between the agitating teachers and the state government evaluation of answer scripts was disrupted for six day.
