Intensifying their efforts to nab the accomplices of Dhalsamanta brothers, Odisha police arrested another aide of the duo late yesterday night, police said today.
Commissionerate police arrested Sulekh Sahu for his alleged links with the Dhalsamanta brothers.
Three revolvers and 11 rounds of bullets were seized from his possession during the raid on Sulekh’s house at Telisahi in Ranihat area here last night.
On the other hand, police also raided the house of Bholanath Bhagat, the owner of Metal Syndicate, at his Ranihat residence for his alleged association with the notorious brothers. However, police had to return empty handed as he wasn’t present at his house.
Raid was also conducted at Metal Syndicate office, a transport company, situated at Badambadi. The crackdown continued for over five hours at these two places.
Police have seized several documents from Bhagat’s house which shows his business transactions with the Dhalsamanta brothers. He was in know of the developments from the abduction of Deepak Mallick alias Dipu and Om Prakash Swain alias Om to their murders. He has gone into hiding since the arrest of the gangster siblings fearing arrest, sources said.
Notably, police are searching for six more persons, including Bhagat, for their alleged links with Sushant and Sushil Dhalsamanta.
