Odisha police arrest two for raping, impregnating divyang minor girl

Sundargarh: The district police today arrested two persons for allegedly raping and impregnating a divyang minor girl at Katakhandi under Bonai police limits of Odisha’s Sundargarh.

The arrested have been identified as Banu Naik and Banti Kisan of the same locality.

As per a police complaint lodged by the family members of the victim, the accused duo lured the girl in various ways and had physical relation with her for the last six months.

The incident came to fore after the kin of the girl came to know about her pregnancy. On the basis of the complaint lodged by them, the two accused were arrested by police.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
