Odisha police move court to include Mahima Mishra as accused in bomb hurling case

Trouble continues to mount for Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL) Managing Director Mahimananda Mishra as Twin City Commissionerate police today moved the Cuttack SDJM court seeking his inclusion as an accused in the 2013 Cuttack Press Chhak bomb hurling case.

Mishra was yesterday interrogated by Cuttack ACP and Madhupatna police station IIC at Paradip over the bomb hurling incident.

The Commissionerate police has also reopened the case. The cops have got strong information against Mishra in connection with the incident and are likely to apply for a five-day remand of the OSL chief, reports said.

Criminal Ganesh Sahu of CDA area in Cuttack has been arrested in the case and the bomb was hurled under Mishra’s direction, police had said.

In a related development, Mishra, currently lodged in Samagol jail in Jagatsinghpur, moved Jagatsinghpur district and sessions judge court today seeking bail.

Notably, Mishra has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the murder of Seaways Shipping and Logistics Private Limited (SSPL) General Manager Mahendra Swain in Paradip on October 26 last year.
