Odisha police moves court seeking polygraph test on Dhalasamanta duo

Odisha police today moved the SDJM Court here to allow it to conduct polygraph test (lie detector test) on the arrested notorious Dhalasamanta brothers (D-brothers)-Sushant Dhalasamanta and Sushil Dhalasamanta.

The Twin city Commissionerate Police’s plea will be taken up for hearing by the court tomorrow, said sources.

In another related development, wife and father of murdered Omprakash Swain alias Om this evening lodged an FIR against three persons including D-brothers at the Chauliaganj police station.

Earlier in the day, Twin City Police Commissioner Y B Khurania had informed here today that Sushant and Sushil to have admitted during interrogations to have murdered their associates Deepak Mallick alias Dipu and Omprakash Swain alias Om.

Both Dipu and Om who were associates of D-brothers had mysteriously gone missing since November 12, 2013.

Khurania said Dipu and Om were working for the D-brothers since 2000. They were involved in various criminal activities including tender fixing. They also worked as sharpshooters for the D-brothers. For some reason they had differences with the D-brothers in 2013 and since then they went missing, he added.

Notably, Dipu’s father Adwaita Mallick had first tried to lodge a complaint with the police, on police refusing to register the complaint he had registered a case at the SDJM Court, Cuttack alleging that his son was murdered by D-brothers after police.
