Odisha police submit yet another charge sheet against D brothers

Odisha police today submitted one more charge sheet against notorious criminal siblings Sushant and Sushil Dhalasamanta in cases pertaining to extortion and tender fixing.

According to sources, Twin City Commissionerate police submitted a charge sheet against 28 persons including the Dhalasamanta brothers for their alleged involvement in extortion and tender fixing.

“Sushil Dhalasamanta, Sushant Dhalasamanta, Pramod Kumar Patra alias Bhuan, Sangram Kumar Routray, Juga Prakash Kanungo, Nirmal Rout and Bharat Bhusan Swain are among the 28 persons against whom charge sheet has been filed today,” Biswajit Baral, Assistant Public Prosecutor said.

It may be mentioned here that Commissionerate police, on June 13 this year, had submitted a charge sheet against six accused including the Dhalasamanta brothers in connection with the sensational Om Prakash Swain alias Om murder.

Notably, the sibling duo was arrested from a house under Pokhariput area here on January 29 this year for their alleged involvement in several criminal activities including murder, dacoity, extortion, tender fixing and illegal arms trade.
