Chakradhar Paika, the deputy leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) who resigned from the party yesterday, filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Mohana Assembly constituency today.

Paika had resigned from the Congress in protest against the decision to deny him a ticket to contest from Mohana, the constituency he represented in the last Assmbly.
